About Cerys
I am 21-years-old and currently studying BA English and French at the University of Bristol. I attained four A* A-level grades including English, French and Chemistry. I have over two years of experience in private tutoring for A-level and GCSE and I have received excellent feedback from all my previous students who have ben delighted to move up by two grades or more in less than a year of working together. I am currently teaching English in a French school which has been a rewarding opportunity to expand my teaching experience. I enjoy teaching because every session with every student is different and exciting. I pride myself on a good rapport with students and parents alike which has created fantastic opportunities for collaborative learning. It is rewarding to be able to pass on all that I have learnt over my years of study, and to see it unlock the potential for others. I am grateful to have had many wonderful experiences through teaching, leading to incredible improvement and results from dedicated students.

In the first lesson, I spend time getting to know the student, not only their academic requirements and targets, but also their individual needs and learning patterns. According to our initial meeting, I am able to create a personalised and collaborative plan to move forward.
In the following lessons, I use exam materials and target support relevant to the students’ specific goals to guide the lesson, encouraging collaborative discussion to promote creative and independent thought. My students benefit from experience handling exam materials whilst receiving personal guidance and a space to create and explore their own ideas.
Due to three years experience as a private tutor and a language teacher in France, I am able to adapt lessons in real-time to cater to both the students’ long and short-term needs.
My students value my knowledge and experience of the contemporary education and assessment systems in the UK and I prioritise a friendly environment which nurtures their learning and development.
