Ms. Vanessa is an educator who meets the students where they are… then takes them to the next level of understanding a concept. I am a mom of three children who experienced both traditional and progressive education. Ms. Vanessa was such a positive influence to the foundation of their life long learning. She understands that every student is different and she supports their stretches and builds on their strengths. The confidence, reassurance and encouragement that she gives to her students yields results that every parent wants in a teacher. When there was a challenge in a subject, she worked with my kids until they had a level of understanding that made them feel proud of themselves. If they did not understand a topic immediately, they trusted that Ms. Vanessa would break it down in a way that helped them master it. She is trustworthy, supportive and brilliant! A true educator.

Ms. V tutored me all through my elementary school years until 6th grade. I often struggled with school, I didn’t understand topics taught in class and was too embarrassed to ask any questions. I was doing poor in school until she came into the picture. She was very patient and kind, helped me understand topics I was too ashamed to ask questions for. She rewarded me when I was able to sit still for long enough and was overall extremely encouraging. I became a straight A student after getting tutoring from her and even after we no longer were able to get help from her, I was able to use the tools she taught me as I got further into my education. I’m now a college student and have maintained my straight A grades, ending up on the deans list twice.

She has been my tutor from the 7th grade until the day I graduated from high school! Our entire family adores Ms. Vanessa! She is the best tutor anyone could ever ask for!
