Duration : 1 hour - Price : $15.00 - Place : Naples (34119)I would like to give lessons to elementary and middle school students in the areas of reading,arithmetic, English and writing. I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University in 1989 in the area of Special Education/Learning Disabilities. I have been teaching/tutoring ALL students and adults for 35 years. I taught for the Virginia Beach City Public Schools for three years.
Above all else, I believe learning should be FUN! During the first lesson, I like to get to know my students. If I know the interests of my students, then I can gear my lessons towards what they like.
There is NO such thing as a dumb question. Participation is GREATLY encouraged. I will ask lots of questions to give me a clear understanding of what a person may or may not know. Nobody is allowed to be bored or frustrated with your time with me!

Course setup
I have been helping students for 35 years. That’s a pretty long time and lots of experience. Everyone of my students that I’ve taught goes up by at least one grade level. For example, if you are a D student, that’s OK. By working with me, you will be a C student or better. We work as a team. You ask the questions, and I will help you to know how to find the answers.
