About Katie
I noticed for a lot of children in big classrooms like my brother's, it was hard to really get into English Literature without just copying ideas of other people. In school, you have to deal with favouritism, large classes and other things that can interfere with your learning.
It really takes discussion and pushing ideas that gets you to a higher level and it's a shame that school has made it so that it's not so fun to learn, or even stressful to students that just need more confidence.
I want to build your confidence together at your own pace and hear your ideas. Everyone interprets English Literature in a different way which makes it so beautiful; there is no wrong answer! Even if you are a little shy or lacking in confidence I would love to work together with you and help you achieve the best you can. I have been a student myself and it helps to have a teacher who understands how the exam boards work now and someone who can empathise with student anxieties.

We can go through poems/plays or anything you would like and analyse themes, language and structure together at your own pace.
I can also help you write in higher level English for your essays and answers to exam questions to get you to the higher bands.
I have just recently graduated with an A* in my dissertation and have A-levels in English Literature. I can tutor for 11 years + and children preparing for their GCSE's. Typical lessons can be 1 hour long and remote but I can also be flexible with this. Just drop me a message and we can discuss.
