About Michael
I enjoy reading books. Mostly ficiton books, short stories, and memoirs. From an early age I understood that words have power. Words can inspire, they can teach, offer lessons, push bounderies, and are always seeking questions. Stories help me to understand myself, people, places, and culture and is why I love to write, to teach, and tutor others that share the same passion.

I incorporate material that is relevant, easy to understand, fun, and engaging. I begin my lessons with brain teasers to see what a student knows, doesn’t know, and wants to know more about. Next, I introduce the material that will be discussed such as: vocabulary, grammar, writing, and reading. The I provide examples, showing students how to approach the material that they will be working on, and then we do it together. After a few attempts, I allow the students to try the lesson on their own and see how they approach the content and if further help is needed. The I end the day with a game that touches on the conte t that was reviewed.
