About JYOTSNA
I am a third year studying Microbiology Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. I am currently on the pre med track and aspire to become a paediatric cardio-thoracic surgeon. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and am very passionate about helping people and teaching. I currently volunteer at UCLA’s extension program that is involved in tutoring students with disabilities. I also taught middle school students mathematics for three years. I have also had experience in working on college applications and preparing students for competitive exams. Tutoring is my passion and I am very focused on making sure my students achieve everything they wish to and at the same time enjoy the learning process.

I have been working for tutor tap for over a year and have also been involved in tutoring students with disabilities. I have also had three years of experience tutoring mathematics to students in middle school. I hope to use my experience to help students with any form of preparation they may need: whether it is for competitive exams, to improve their grades, or to help them complete their assignments. My lesson plan would revolve around the needs of the student. I think the most effective way of teaching is figuring out what works for the student and then adapting to their style of learning, this is what I intend to do for my students and adapt to any requirements they might have.
