About Jessica
In all sincerity, when I first started the English Literature course, I found it completely overwhelming. However, as I soon started to find techniques that suited me and started to see results from that, I grew to like it more and more until writing an essay became something I looked forward to, not dreaded. I hope, even if English Literature remains to be something that one dreads, (unfortunately I am not a miracle worker) to help students feel at least a little more at ease about the course in this hectic time.

As I have only just left school, I fully understand the pressures and struggles that the English Literature course may have. It is a very demanding subject, however, I hope to take that away for current students, allowing them to feel more optimistic. I am happy to share my own techniques on how I was able to wrap my head around the course, making it more understandable and less daunting for pupils to go into exams feeling more confident. I feel the best approach in the sessions is to help the student practically, helping them with things such as essays they may have for homework, and in turn they can take these skills into the classroom, exam rooms and beyond. My timetable is flexible. I am currently a full-time student at the University of Leeds however I am happy to teach remotely.
