About Megan
I’m a Classics graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a deep passion for ancient languages and cultures. Throughout my studies, I developed a love for Latin and classical civilisation, appreciating how they shape our understanding of history and literature today. I enjoy sharing this enthusiasm and helping students discover the relevance and beauty of the ancient world. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their academic goals.

I offer engaging, structured lessons in Latin and Classical Civilisation which can range from 1-2 hours. Sessions offer focused, level-appropriate work and for GCSE and A-Level students will be structured around their exam requirements, covering all necessary language skills, set texts, and exam techniques. In Latin, we work through translations together to build confidence and accuracy, reinforce language patterns with targeted grammar exercises, and review and mark independent work. For exam students, we also study set texts in depth, exploring both language and literary features. In classical civilisation, lessons focus on key topics such as ancient history, mythology, art, religion, and daily life in Greece and Rome. We analyse primary sources, explore cultural themes, and develop critical thinking skills through discussion and essay practice tailored to exam specifications. Lessons are available online or in person and are ideal for students aged 10–18.
