About Maya

As a tutor, I combine a strong academic foundation with a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I had a tutor during GCSEs myself, so I know the value it can bring and the importance of a comfortable environment! My background in law has sharpened my analytical and communication skills as well as constantly developing my academic skills, which means I can provide the utmost support to my students. Beyond my qualifications, I’m reliable, approachable, and committed to helping students build both skill and confidence.

About the lesson

I offer tutoring focused on clear, structured explanations and active learning. My method emphasises understanding over memorisation, using past papers, games and others to ensure true learning. Lessons typically run for one hour, but can be adjusted based on need. I have a strong academic background, having achieved 10 GCSEs grades 7-9, and A*A*A at A-level. I currently study Law at University! I have several years’ experience tutoring students at primary and secondary level. My approach is flexible and I aim to ensure every lesson is enjoyable. Lessons are suited for primary, GCSE and A-level students.
