I am a graduate from the University of Oxford, holding a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I have experience helping year 7 students on the Toe-by-Toe reading mentor scheme. I like to ensure that students can see the progress they are making through regular progress checks and formal/informal assessments. I seek to allow the student to engage with the subject matter in a way that allows them to discover knowledge, rather than handing it to them. I believe this gives the student confidence and keeps them interested in the work they are doing.
