About Eliza
I'm a uni student who has been studying English/Lit for four years and looking to become a high school teacher. I've 6 months experience teaching year 7s and grade 4s as part of my own learning experience. I have tutored friends and family over the years with VCE prep, but I believe that a solid foundation of learning can better prepare younger students for the future. I have experience with lessons online, as I completed part of my VCE through Distance Education Centre Victoria, which is based almost solely online. My current university course is also based purely online as well.

I like to keep my lessons fun, interesting and individually tailored to meet a student's needs. I know English can be a difficult subject or even tedious to some, but it's a very important skill to have. I want to impart on students that while it's a necessary subject, it doesn't have to be, for a lack of a better word, boring. English and literature isn't just some school subject you need, but is in itself, an art-form. I want to inspire children, so they can learn more than just essay writing and what they need to pass exams, but for them to enjoy reading and writing. There is much wisdom to be found in books and art, and I want to show students the knowledge, experiences and adventure that can be found in reading and writing.
