About Katie
I know how hard some classes can be when you don't have the direct attention of a teacher, I'd like to provide classes for students who are eager to learn and desire a tutor that is willing to listen and encourages them. Throughout education, I always excelled in these areas and I would love to pass on helpful tricks and tips that allowed me to be successful in these areas that teachers may not always share. Learning should not be stressful or daunting, I believe it's important to make students feel understood.

The key to my lessons is transparency, I like to create an open environment in which I want the student to feel comfortable enough to share every aspect that they struggle in. Previous work from classes can be looked at to evaluate areas for improvement and to be used as a comparison for new work they produce. One-to-one sessions will allow me asses where the student is at and what they need to improve upon. I believe it is important to first assess what type of learner the student is (Physical, audio, visual) before delving into work. Each lesson will last at a minimum of an hour but longer sessions can be requested. I am a recent graduate and through my time at university I held English lessons for some international students who struggled with English.
My lessons are for those in secondary school who have yet to take their GCSE's or anyone who is looking to retake them.
