About (E) Yara

I’m a guitar teacher with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on guitar. Teaching has always been my passion because I love helping students connect with music on a deep, emotional level. I believe that technical skill and expressive playing go hand in hand. In my lessons, I focus on building solid technique, strong music theory knowledge, and practical fluency across the fretboard. I guide students through chords, scales, and improvisation, always linking theory to real playing. Slow practice, mindful repetition, and tone awareness are key parts of my method. I want students to feel confident in their playing while expressing their own musical voice. I also encourage creativity, personal expression, and active listening. Whether your goal is performing, recording, or songwriting, I tailor lessons to help you grow. Each session balances skill-building, musical understanding, and fun. My aim is to help students play with confidence, technical ability, and heartfelt emotion.

About the lesson

I focus on helping students connect deeply with their instrument while building strong technical skills. Lessons emphasize slow practice methods, tone awareness, and breathing with rhythm. These tools not only improve precision but also help students play with confidence and expression. I also introduce ways to use music as a mindfulness practice, making playing both relaxing and focused.

I guide students in exploring different musical styles and techniques, supporting those who aim to perform or record professionally. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, helping students understand song structure, phrasing, and emotional expression. I break down complex riffs, solos, and chord progressions into manageable steps.

My approach encourages creativity, self-listening, and reflection. I provide strategies to excel on stage or in the studio while building a strong foundation in theory and fretboard fluency. Every session balances technical development, musicality, and personal expression. My goal is to help students grow into confident, expressive musicians who play with heart and skill.
