About Jason
Hi, I’m Jason—a first-year Law student at UNSW, and I will be commencing my undergraduate Law degree at UCL in England later this year.
I understand that choosing the right tutor can feel overwhelming. It’s important to find someone who not only delivers results, but also creates a supportive and comfortable learning environment tailored to your individual needs. Having been in your position not long ago, I am very familiar with the pressures of studying English and performing well in high-stakes exams.
I aim to provide a structured and engaging learning environment that supports students in achieving their full potential. My teaching is focused on both skill development and exam performance, ensuring students feel confident in their abilities while also producing strong academic results.
I have achieved top results in both IGCSE and A-Level English, receiving A* grades in each. This academic background, combined with my current legal studies, has equipped me with advanced analytical and writing skills that I bring into every lesson.

I take a structured yet flexible approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to the student’s needs, goals, and school curriculum. My teaching focuses on building strong core skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis, while also helping students develop confidence and independent thinking.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, though I can offer longer or shorter sessions if needed. Lessons are usually structured as follows: a quick review of previous work, introduction of a new skill or concept, guided practice, and then independent application. I often set optional homework to reinforce learning between sessions.
My lessons are aimed at secondary school students (generally Years 7–12), including those preparing for exams or looking to improve their overall English performance. I work with a range of abilities—from students needing foundational support to high-achievers aiming for top marks—and tailor my teaching style accordingly.
