About Francesca

If your child is studying but still struggling in English, the problem usually isn't effort. It's strategy.

UofT graduate | 15+ years experience | 100+ students across the GTA

I've worked with students who:

- couldn't get their ideas onto paper, no matter how much they knew
- rewrote the same paragraph four times and still felt off
- needed to improve fast for IB, AP, or university applications

Many of these students see noticeable improvements in clarity, confidence, and grades within the first few weeks, especially once writing starts to “click.”

I help high school students turn scattered thoughts into structured writing that earns stronger grades and stands out.

= = = Founding Student Offer (3 Spots): = = =

**To build out my Superprof profile, I’m offering a SPECIAL FOUNDING RATE for my first 3 students here.

Once these spots are filled, sessions return to my standard rate.

(Feel free to message me for details.)**

= = = Recent results: = = =

- Students improving from low-70s to 85–90+ once writing structure “clicked”
- Stronger essays leading to higher English grades and improved overall averages
- Support with applications to competitive programs including UofT, McMaster, Waterloo, and other top schools

Most families come to me after trying traditional tutoring that focused on homework help or fixing assignments, but didn’t actually improve how their child thinks and writes.

My approach is different.

I don’t just correct mistakes. I teach students how to think on the page.

That means learning how to:

- organize ideas
- build strong arguments
- communicate clearly and confidently

These are skills that carry into every subject, every exam, and every application.

I’ve worked with students across Toronto and York Region, from those needing a confidence boost to high-achieving students in IB and AP programs looking to sharpen their edge.

To provide more strategic support to families, I also pursued further training through the IECA in Educational Consulting.

I keep a small, intentional roster so each student receives consistent feedback, structured guidance, and real progress over time.

= = = Who this is for: = = =

- Students who are capable but struggle to clearly organize and express their ideas
- Students aiming for strong grades and competitive university programs
- Families who value long-term skill development, not just short-term homework help

= = = Not the right fit for: = = =

- Last-minute assignment help or quick fixes right before deadlines
- Students looking for answers without understanding the process
- One-off sessions without interest in building long-term improvement

= = = Availability: = = =

I work with a small number of students at a time to maintain quality and consistency.

I’m currently accepting 3 new students. These spots tend to fill quickly during midterm and exam periods.

If this sounds like the kind of support your child needs, feel free to message me with a bit about their situation.

I’m happy to take a quick look and let you know if I’m the right fit.

English

English is not just a subject - it’s how students are evaluated everywhere.

From essays to exams to university applications, students who can think clearly on the page have a significant advantage.

If your child has strong ideas but struggles to organize and express them clearly, that’s exactly what we work on.

What I help students improve:

- Essay writing (thesis development, structure, argument clarity)
- University applications (application planning, strategy, and review)
- Critical thinking and analysis (novels, poetry, Shakespeare, non-fiction)
- Clear, structured communication (written and verbal)
- Grammar, syntax, and style
- Test and exam preparation

My approach:

Most students aren’t struggling because they’re not capable.

They’re stuck because no one has shown them how to structure their thinking and communicate it with clarity.

I don’t just correct mistakes. I teach students how to think on the page.

That’s what changes here.

Sessions are focused, strategic, and tailored to each student, so they’re not just completing assignments, but actually improving how they think, write, and perform over time.

Availability:

Currently accepting 3 new students.

I work with a small number of students at a time to maintain quality and consistency. Once my roster is full, I don’t take on new students mid-term.

Getting Started:

If this sounds like your child, feel free to message me. I’m happy to take a quick look at their situation and let you know if I can help.

To make this an easy first step:

If, after the first session, you don’t feel this is the right fit, I’m happy to recommend a better-fit tutor or refund the session. No pressure to continue.
