About Marilyn
I am a University of Southern California graduate, currently applying to English Literature PhD programs, and have experience teaching and tutoring at both the high school and collegiate levels. I've taught summer high school courses, individually worked with a number of students, and continue to work closely with other professionals to enhance my knowledge and skills.

I enjoy working with students one on one and learning what they care about to situate my lessons around their interests. Literature is fundamentally a representation of the human experience, and we can all learn more about ourselves and our sense of the world from books. I strive to help my students make those connections, while giving them the skills to better articulate their own ideas and experience.
