About Michael

Hi! I’m Michael, a fluent English speaker with a PTE score of 85 and degrees in Social Sciences and Media Practice from the University of Sydney. I’ve been educated in English since high school and have years of experience helping students and adults improve their English—whether for school, work, or everyday life. I enjoy reading literature, exploring sociology, and doing public speaking—and I love bringing these interests into my lessons to make learning English more engaging and relevant. My teaching style is friendly, flexible, and practical. I focus on helping you feel confident using English in real situations—through conversation, writing, grammar support, and exam prep (like PTE or IELTS). Every lesson is tailored to your goals, with clear explanations, helpful feedback, and real progress you can feel. Whether you're a high school or uni student, a working professional, or someone new to English, I’ll guide you at your own pace in a supportive, encouraging way. About the lesson

My tutoring approach is highly interactive, communicative, and tailored to each student's unique learning goals. I follow a learner-centered methodology that focuses on developing real-world language skills through meaningful, practical use.

I emphasize active learning—engaging students in speaking, listening, reading, and writing tasks that mirror real-life situations. For example, I use role-plays, news articles, structured debates, and writing prompts to enhance fluency and critical thinking. Lessons also include error correction, vocabulary building, and grammar support, delivered in a clear, supportive, and non-intimidating way.

I believe consistency and reflection are key, so I always include progress tracking, regular feedback, and short review activities to reinforce learning. Depending on the student’s goals (e.g. conversational fluency, academic writing, or exam prep like PTE), I adapt my materials and focus areas accordingly.

Each session is 60 minutes, carefully structured yet flexible, and paced to match the student’s comfort and skill level.

My lessons are ideal for high school and university students, professionals, and adult learners aiming to improve their English for academic, career, or everyday purposes.
