I am a classically trained violinist and a 3rd generation fiddler. I also play mandolin, flamenco guitar, blues guitar, and blues harmonica. I have recorded and performed extensively in the Midsouth, United States, and Europe. Please call me.

My teaching methods vary according to each student's needs. Also, my goal as a teacher is to help students see the music and events we study in a historical and cultural context so that they can define their own past, present, and future. I help them navigate through their cultural and historical enlightenment which requires them to think for themselves and open their minds to diverse frameworks. I work to ensure my classroom is a safe place for open discussion of the many complex and sometimes fractious influences that have and continue to shape American musical traditions. Often, some of their core values are changed with the new information they discuss.
