About Keiko
I am a contemporary artist born in Japan who studied in Germany and later immigrated to the United States; for half a century, I have conducted art projects on the global stage, with San Francisco as my base. I frequently travel back and forth to Japan and have been appointed as an International Goodwill Ambassador by the City of Kyoto.

If you are interested in Japan, I will teach you not only how to speak the language but also how to understand the Japanese spirit.
My mother is an instructor of both the tea ceremony and *ikebana* (Japanese flower arranging); I studied and received training under her. I even performed *ikebana* on stage at the 20th-anniversary event of the Ikebana International Kyoto Chapter.
