About Marc

I am Marc, a singing and drama teacher with 25 years of experience. I studied vocal studies, musical and music theatre.
I teach singing and drama and also direct and coach for music theatre and circus theatre. During my travels I worked in several projects, like a peace circus in Israel and Palestine and theatre and music workshops for Syrian refugee children in Jordan. Now I reside in Europe with my family and I teach online lessons.

About the lesson

Singers who move you are not necessarily singers with perfect technique: they are the ones who let you get close, who tell you a story. I want to teach you how you can sing in a way that shows your authentic expression, so you can move people with your song.

Together we’ll go through a process where you learn to stay close to yourself en tell a story from there. We look at what moves you, what the lyrics mean to you and you’ll learn techniques to connect your story and your emotions to a song. You’ll learn to distinguish different types of songs, for example narrative and lyrical songs.

In my lessons I use the technical aspects of singing to support the process: when it’s needed we’ll work on singing technique, breathing technique, diction, different voice techniques and presentation.

Because I am not only trained in singing, but also in dance, acting, music theatre and personal development, I combine all disciplines in my teaching. I can support you in musical theatre, music theatre, cabaret, and even circus theatre.

I've had classes from Marc and have seen him work many times. Marc dances the fascinating line between challenging you to step outside your comfort zone and giving you the confidence that you can do it. He'll go on a journey with you to discover where your authentic expression lies, while also providing you with the technical tools and tricks he picks out for you from his vast toolbox built up through his varied and long experience. And he's also just a very nice guy!
