About Chris

I specialize in rock/technical metal in my own personal projects, but took guitar lessons for several years from a highly esteemed jazz fusion guitarist. I appreciate all forms of musical expression and have personal experience playing and writing pop, R&B, hip hop, rap, soca, reggae, blues, punk, ska, and symphonic music on multiple instruments. Each person has their own unique ear for what sounds good to them, and my job as a teacher is to unlock your ability as a player and an artist to share what you hear with the world no matter what the genre. The process is what I love, and theres no such thing as too late!

About the lesson

My name is Chris and I've been playing music since I was 7 years old and writing my own since I was 15. I started off playing drums and picked up guitar, bass and piano once I decided I wanted to write my own songs. I have worked with countless other musicians over the years and have always enjoyed breaking down difficult concepts and seeing an artist grow. It doesn’t matter if you’re just picking up guitar for the first time or if you’ve got a solid foundation of knowledge and ability already, I am confident we can work together to increase your freedom on the fretboard and enjoy the process along the way.

One of the saddest things to me is thinking about all the musicians out there who's musical gifts and ear will never be shared with the world. I am eager to help any aspiring musician at any level realize their potential and connect deeper with themselves and the world through the beauty and commitment of free expression and fearless creativity. If you believe that a voice is in you for music, let it speak and I'll hold the microphone.
