I am an experienced English specialist, having successfully delivered the GCSE curriculum for the past four years. I am also an examiner for AQA meaning I have an extremely in depth knowledge of the curriculum. I have also taught functional skills to adult learners.

I believe that the relationship with my student is key in creating a successful learning environment; one which is structured and with clearly defined boundaries. I have had a considerable amount of experience dealing with students from a variety of social backgrounds and cultural beliefs, and this has developed my behaviour management strategies and classroom practice significantly. I have had successful results over time and I believe that positive relationships with students are the foundations of this. I believe that the success I have had during my career is down to creating positive relationships with the pupils. Without this, I feel that my teaching practice would not have developed as it has.
