With 21 years of experience, top state writing scores, and a degree in both elementary education and in special education, I specialize in helping ALL students thrive in elementary reading and writing.
Having taught language arts in grades 2-5 in public school, I have experience in teaching students how to read to learn, use what they read to support their reasoning, and to use writing as a tool to express themselves. My passion for developing a student’s love for reading and writing is undeniable. In addition, my experience working at a school for dyslexic students, serving as the director of the summer program, has further developed my ability to target a struggling reader’s individual needs.
When tutoring, I will tailor individualized learning plans and goals to meet each student's unique needs. My experience as a school administrator ensures a well-rounded, disciplined yet fun approach to education.
