My teaching method is based on creativity and application rather than retention and memory. Children at this age are very smart, however, from my experience with working with them, they have a multitude of concepts and terms running through their minds and this makes it difficult to retain information. I like to make lessons interactive or have a reward system set in place so the student can recall the lesson due to having a more hands-on approach. Tailoring your lesson to each student is key as not every child learns the same!
I'm a 2020 UNT graduate with a BA in Media Arts and an affinity towards writing. English has always been my strong suit from elementary through college! I've received countless praise for my writing capabilities and have even received awards in high school!
Cydnie and I have known each other for about 8 years now and have been involved in positions that require teaching, patience, and dedication, especially with children. Cydnie is gentle and amicable. When she’s teaching you something, she can make it sound like a casual conversation rather than just a lesson. She is willing to answer questions with utmost patience until you understand and makes teaching personable.
