My method is to approach teaching with compassion for the student above all else. I want my students to feel as though they are never being talked down to or treated as though they aren't intelligent or capable. I have experience working with non-native English speakers, students with dyslexia, and students with autism. In my lessons, I aim to prioritize real understanding of the subject matter rather than memorization. I also attempt to teach tips and tricks to assist students with grammar and with writing essays or reports. I recommend supplementary websites and other resources to assist even further, allowing the student to learn and research for themselves as well. I am a very silly person and I find the best way to teach someone is to make them laugh. Students will be taught on a need-based curriculum, focusing primarily on the concepts that they need specific assistance with.
