Writing tutor with tutoring / teaching experience in college-level English and composition

Methodology

My approach to teaching is all about helping students to become effective communicators. I teach communication through activities, interactions, and assignments designed to help students to understand and internalize specific criteria for effective writing based on the rhetorical goals for each writing task that they approach.

Background

I have experience in teaching college-level english, working in university writing centers, and facilitating online tutoring, and have tutored writing for undergraduate students, thesis and dissertation students, remedial undergraduate writing students, homeschool, and private school students. I excel in one-on-one tutoring and in small group settings where I can give extensive feedback to each student.
