About Saturday
I have been teaching and tutoring most of my life. After receiving my MFA in Writing from California Institute of the Arts in 2013, I began teaching writing full time. I have worked with students on both creative and academic writing and find both equally rewarding. In 2018, I began working at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes. There I got the opportunity to work with neurodivergent students, namely students with ADHD and dyslexia. As I grew in my role and eventually became a Center Director, I greatly appreciated all my students taught me about learning differently.

My approach as a tutor is to help your student learn their own brain.
I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent students, namely students with ADHD and/or dyslexia
Whether students come with an active assignment or not, lessons focus on teaching students pre-writing skills, essay structure, and revision. There is a lot of focus on methods to get past initial "blank paper panic" and there is a big emphasis on revision.
Students who do not have an essay they're working on for school will often have some homework for the next week.
