About Cecilia

I recently graduated from University of Oxford where I studied Music with a scholarship. I specialised in the relationship between music and literature, politics and popular culture researching for numerous theses and writing extensively on the topic. I also took English A Level, English Literature GCSE and English Language GCSE, and have been tutoring/mentoring the subject both broadly and specifically for exams, with an impressive success rate.

About the lesson

A typical length of my lessons in 1 hour, but I am happy to do more or less. My lessons are for all ages and levels (from primary school, GCSE, A Level, to university applications).

I approach my lessons prepared and with enthusiasm. I like to get to know my students and adapt to their way of learning - I believe that encouragement and confidence is half the battle. In terms of teaching, I like to be efficient and target specific gaps in knowledge/skill using targeted lesson plans. This includes using past papers or specific exercises. I hope to enable my students with ride-ranging and applicable skills that will give them the confidence to approach their subject in whatever from it takes.
