About Dita
I am a friendly, patient, and approachable Year 13 student who genuinely enjoys helping others learn. Through my own experience at school, I understand that children can learn in very different ways, and I know how important it is to feel comfortable and supported when learning something new.
I am reliable, responsible, and committed to making every lesson positive and encouraging. I will take the time to understand what each student needs help with and adapt my teaching to suit their individual learning style. My goal is not only to improve their English and literacy skills, but also to build their confidence and help them enjoy learning.
I have recent experience with NCEA English and a strong understanding of the reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills that students develop throughout school. I am particularly interested in working with primary and intermediate-aged students and creating a supportive environment where they can learn without feeling pressured.

I take a patient, friendly, and encouraging approach to tutoring because I understand how difficult learning can feel when you don’t enjoy the way something is being taught. When I was younger, I sometimes struggled with learning new things and found traditional teaching methods frustrating, which made me dislike tutoring and learning altogether. Because of this, I understand that every child learns differently and that being patient and making learning enjoyable can make a big difference.
My goal is to create a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and taking their time. I like to use simple explanations, reading, writing activities, games, and examples that relate to the child’s interests to make lessons more engaging. I will adapt my approach depending on what works best for each student rather than expecting every child to learn in the same way.
Lessons will generally be 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and needs. I am a Year 13 student with recent NCEA English experience, and I am offering tutoring primarily to primary and intermediate-aged children who would like extra support with English and literacy.
I want to help children become more confident in their abilities and, most importantly, help them realize that struggling with something doesn’t mean they aren't capable of learning it.
