About Melissa

I have been a teacher for 23 years. My degree is in education. My students have fun in class while improving their grammar, articulation, fluency, and writing skills. I also have my Reading Specialist certification. I enjoy reading books with my students and learning through discussion of the book. My online ESL teaching career began 6 years ago. I have a TESOL and experience teaching ESL students ages 4-70.

Although I have taught students as young as three and as advanced as 70 years old, I generally teach students ages 4-50. I firmly believe that students learn more easily when given a topic that interests them. I talk to my students to determine their abilities and their interests. Then I design lessons to meet their needs through their interests.
