About Rebecca
I have been in a classroom for almost 30 years. When I was little I wanted to be a nurse or a librarian , so maybe I will look into that in a few years. Reading was something I didn't like when I was young, but since high school and doing research projects I absolutely love it! I have 3 children who are grown and work for our community in various ways. I believe that if you want to see change, you have to be change. I do my best to be a good example to others, which means I admit my mistakes. In my home we have 5 dogs and 2 cats, which we rescued. They are a handful, but I love them each dearly. They like to be with me out in my garden and when I sit on the front porch at night with a cup of tea.

Making sure I know a student is the first step in a positive and trusting relationship within a family. My lessons are all scaffolded to attain the best outcomes, which are being a strong, confident learner. Depending on the needs of a student, I can tutor for 30 minutes, or up to 90. I begin with background knowledge and hands on opportunities to bolster the best lessons. We move at a challenging, yet appropriate pace for each individual learner. What makes me different is that I care. I want to have a society who are sure of themselves, and are kind and compassionate.
