You learn the language by using it. My job is to give you guidance, feedback and motivation. I listen to your goals, diagnose your needs, set tasks to help you work towards your goals, and give steady feedback to help you stay on course. In a typical class, I might I’ve you a topic to prepare for homework, listen to you discuss that topic, give you feedback on errors, present more vocabulary and expressions based on your starting point, and then get you to practice using that until you can discuss the topic with more accuracy, detail and imagination.
