About Rebecca

I have over 10 years' teaching experience across different learning environments, providing one-to-one support for children in primary and secondary schools, plus gaining teaching experience in Further and Higher Education. Working in classrooms and online, I have supported students on a one-to-one basis and in groups, resulting in high attainment at A’ Level results, BA, MA level. I have supported a wide range of students to develop good academic study skills such as research methods, reflective writing, self-evaluation, and presentation skills and supported them to gain the skills to nurture their own confidence and success in learning. Teaching in different educational environments, from cultural settings to schools, to FE and HE environments, I have developed an understanding of different pedagogical approaches and am particularly interested in inclusive learning and the potential for all students. I am currently working to complete a PhD in Art History. Teaching in FE and HE across literacy and the humanities, I have worked as a visiting lecturer at Regent's University and the International School for Contemporary Arts, aligning my academic expertise in art history and theory with literature, music, fashion and broader design practices.

About the lesson

With over 10 years’ experience, working across learning environments, I have provided one-to-one support for children in primary, secondary schools, further and higher education to support learners reach their full potential. Most recently specialising in Year 6 SATs and 11+ preparation, I have developed individualised learning techniques for each student, utilising the extensive experience I have gained working with primary-aged children. I have supported students to gain qualifications at A ‘Level and taught BA and MA students across disciplines. Working with student-focused learning tools, I have cultivated learning resources and methodologies to train students of different backgrounds to achieve places at Ivy League universities. I approach each student's learning individually and holistically to achieve their full potential. I have worked with dyslexic and ESL students, using dynamic pedagogical methods to support the learning process. Working together to find the right processes and resources for your individual learning, I can ensure you will reach your fullest potential.
