"Structuring a session begins by identifying the specific musical friction that prevents a student from moving forward. You are sitting with your instrument as we break down a complex barre chord into a series of manageable physical adjustments.
I draw upon my formal conservatoire training to ensure your understanding of rhythm and theory remains rigorous yet accessible. My approach covers essential skills like songwriting, lead guitar techniques, and reading tabs.
We spend our time refining the physical actions required to play clean lines. You gain a deeper appreciation for how different musical structures interact during a performance. These sessions leverage my 6 years of experience to solve technical hurdles quickly. You will notice the difference in your playing after a few weeks of consistent, guided work."

"Teaching music is rarely about the notes themselves, but rather about how you translate your internal hearing to the physical fretboard. While my degree is in classical voice from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, my 6 years of experience have given me a unique perspective on guitar mechanics. I work with absolute beginners, intermediate players, advanced learners, and performance-focused students.
We explore everything from power chords and strumming patterns to complex music theory and reading sheet music. My theatre-fluent background helps me explain scales, modes, and lead guitar concepts with great precision. It is common for me to use vocal analogies to help students grasp the flow of a melody.
