About Christopher
I started formal guitar lessons in 1988, then branched off onto my own during college learning from a wide range of mentors and fellow musicians. I have written many songs and played in many band’s covering a wide range of styles.
Now that my band days are over, I’m looking to pass on my knowledge and love of guitar/music.

For me, the best part of being a musician is having fun with the instrument and being able to play with others.
For the past 35 years, I’ve been in countless bands playing a large variety of styles (rock, metal, folk, punk, experimental, country, blues, soul). Throughout these years, I’ve been informally teaching folks how to play and listen, and would now would like to more formally share my love and knowledge of music and guitar with others.
I’m looking to teach beginner to intermediate students. My lessons will include the following:
-Chords and chord progression theory
-Scales and how and when to use them
-Guitar mechanics and maintenance
-Song writing
-Effects
-Improvisation
-Rhythm
-Playing with other instruments
-Recording
-Technique
