About Matthew

My name is Matt and I have loved tutoring ever since I was in high school and would help my mates with their assignments. I live in Japan & Australia, I’m half-British, and I’m a big reader, retro-gamer, and hiker. I hold a WWCC Blue Card and a registered ABN.

About the lesson

I will help you understand the subject material with my extensive teaching experience and knowledge of the Queensland curriculum. We will deconstruct and intentionally appeal to the assessment criteria. This is a simple yet targeted and very effective approach that will improve your grades drastically!

I work as a professional private teacher and as a freelance tutor online to students worldwide. I have over 6 years of experience teaching and tutoring, including creating lesson/study plans, developing curricula, tailoring sessions specifically for each student, and monitoring student progress.

Teachers usually need to deliver lesson content to 30-odd students at once. If something didn't make sense, or you're struggling, it's not your fault! Sometimes it just needs to be explained in the right way for you, and that's where I come in. We'll quickly identify how you learn, and I'll create lesson plans made for you. Everything we do will help build the essential critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are at the core of Australia's curriculum. Once you're comfortable with these skills, there's nothing you can't do.
