About Seheli

I am a certified teacher in Canada having more than 20 years of teaching experience. If you are looking for a facilitator rather than a conventional teacher, then you are in the right place. You will certainly find me as your best guide and supporter to inspire confidence in you.
As a tutor, I render an active role, and let you take turns leading the discussion and the activity. I encourage you to share your knowledge, and allow everybody to participate. I provide you a sense of leadership and importance to boost your confidence and self-worth. In my class, you will learn how to build confidence by solving problems and answering questions on your own.
I provide tuition for ESL (English as a Second Language), and English Language and Arts. My teaching will bring a significant improvement in your English reading, writing, speaking, spelling, vocabulary and grammar.
I also teach Math. In my Math class, you will love to learn how to manipulate numbers in problem solving, and use them in real-life circumstances.
Professionalism is my key strength. I am punctual, and skilled in time management. I value your time, and expect the same from you in return.

About the lesson

I am a facilitator rather than a conventional tutor. I focus on students' interest, their ability, individual needs, and problems they struggle with. I adopt student-centric delivery method engaging them at work.
In general, my teaching plan comprises with follow-up/recap, set objective, introduce new concept, practice by doing, finally wrap-up spanning one hour in total. I give clear demonstration at the beginning, students use guided practice, and active engagement to meet the objective. At the end of the lesson, students' mastery of the objective is assessed.
I provide tuition for K-12 students. I teach English and Math in different class-hours. Students may choose either one, or both on different dates. I also provide coaching for adults who need assistance to improve their English.
I am an active listener with strong communication skills. I create a positive learning environment engaging students in class with collaboration, adaptibility, empathy and patience. I value in real-world learning. I don't give up on students with low grades or short attention spans.
