About Enne
I previously worked for over a year in a youth development charity, gaining professional experience in schools supporting students with leadership, entrepreneurship and personal skills. This was on top of tutoring, and allowed me to incorporate my different skillsets into how I approach students. Thus, I'm familiar with helping students to discover their strengths and identify areas of interest, essential for College applications. I focus on using positive growth reinforcement while remaining strict in expectations, but adjusting based on each student's needs and experience level. I always do my best to build a rapport with the student and ensure a safe and comfortable teaching environment!

Methodology & Experience
I focus on looking for the students' strengths and weaknesses in the subject to identify what to focus on, and modify my teaching style according to each student's learning styles and needs. Building a strong foundation before rushing into examination preparation is key to ensure thorough understanding and consistent improvement, particularly for languages. I tend not to give students answers directly and instead facilitate thinking and practising.
What a lesson with me looks like!
Usually, my lessons last 2 hours, starting with a 5-10 minute check-in on school progress and establishing an agenda. We'd spend some time going through work from the previous lesson (if any) and checking if the student has specific areas they want to focus on for this lesson (if there's any assignments they need help with, for example). Throughout the lesson, we'd constantly review key learning pointers and reminders. Towards the end, we'll wrap up and I'll assign any additional tasks to the student (only if they can manage it with their schedule, and it's beneficial). I end off every lesson with a 10 minute reflection which I talk through with the student to encourage them on what they have achieved, and identify what they want to continue improving on.
