About Arvin

A graduate from a private university in Bangkok, Thailand, who has experienced teaching English courses to Thai university students for more than a year as a freelancer. The results achieved is students' vocabulary has increased and they become more confident to speak English. The same result can also be expected from this Thai language course.

About the lesson

The teaching method will start from the topics that are based on things that we often encounter in everyday life (greetings, introductions, numbers, etc.), then continued with the introduction of the Thai alphabet. After that, will start to discuss topics that are more complex. Students are also welcome to express their desire to learn any certain topics. The teaching will be delivered with such methods that will make students enjoy learning the material.

Perfect! Arvin is a great tutor and vastly knowledge. So far Ive been enjoying my lessons with him, as he let me to also take a part on what topic i wish to learn more. He also dont mind to answer some of my random questions regarding the language, outside of the class, feeding my curiosity. I am a slow-learner yet he is very patient and supportive. The fact that she claimed she's a slow learner, it is simply because the Thai language is indeed a complex language to learn, where intonations play a significant role in communicating in Thai. I love sharing with her about my experiences with Thai culture and all the culture shocks I once had during my 7 years of living abroad in Bangkok.

Hi, I am one of the mentees and I start as a newbie who knows nothing about the language at all, and upon a few months of learning with Arvin, I am actually very impressed and would love to recommend him to any of you who have interest in the language. His way of teaching the language is really exciting yet relaxing at the same time. Surely, it's challenging but he made it super exciting as he will go back and forth with each material he gave, its easier for me not to only remember the vocabs but to understand them.

Arvin is surely a one-of-a-kind teacher, he lived in Thai before and that obviously gives him plus points in experiences and teaching the language. So you won't sound like someone who learns the language from a textbook. He will constantly give you a nice direction and advice to learn the language in the most conversational ways.

10/10 would love to recommend him to whoever plans to learn the language if you are a beginner.

A travel fee of IDR 15000 (one-way) applies within a radius of 5 km from the Rungkut area in Surabaya, there'll be an additional IDR 5000 a km if the location is further than 5 km. If you think that the distance is too far from the Rungkut area, we can also meet somewhere in between. The travel fees have been adjusted to the calculation of one of the online motorcycle taxi applications. I impose travel costs due to medical reasons that do not encourage me to drive on my own. Please, your kind understanding. Thanks.

The hourly rate can vary according to student's profile (age and educational background). The rates listed are negotiable. Rates apply to the Surabaya area only. Different rates will apply to other regions.
