About Katharine

Hi, I’m Katharine — a professional educator with over 30 years of experience helping students of all ages improve their English skills and confidence. I’ve taught in private schools, universities, and coached professionals across different countries. From grammar basics to business presentations, I know how to make English feel simple, useful, and even enjoyable. What matters most to me? Helping you feel understood, supported, and proud of your progress. Whether you’re studying for an exam, preparing for a job interview, or just want to feel more confident speaking and writing in English, I’ll meet you at your level and help you move forward — step by step. Punctual, prepared, and passionate — I take my role as your tutor seriously, and you can expect reliable support, clear communication, and lessons that are tailored to you. Let’s get incredible results — together.

About the lesson

About My Teaching Style I’ve been teaching for over 30 years — from young kids learning grammar basics, to high school students preparing for exams, to university students mastering essays, presentations, and business English. My approach is practical, flexible, and focused on real results. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and challenged at the same time. I keep lessons clear, engaging, and personalized to fit each learner’s goals and style. Whether we’re working on writing, speaking, reading, or confidence, I use tools and techniques that build skills and self-belief. A Typical Lesson Plan Every lesson is structured to deliver results without overwhelm: Warm-Up: Quick check-in and review of the last session’s key takeaways. Lesson Objective: Clear focus for the session — what we’ll achieve and why it matters. Core Instruction: Interactive teaching using multimedia, real-world examples, and practical exercises. I keep this dynamic and targeted. Application: Practice activities, problem-solving tasks, or role-playing scenarios to solidify learning. Feedback & Strategy: Immediate feedback and a mini-action plan for next steps, including tips or stretch tasks for ongoing improvement. *I often use real-life content, examples — videos, articles, and conversation prompts — to make English feel useful and natural, not just academic. What Makes Me Different I’ve taught in private schools, universities, and coached professionals around the world. What sets me apart is my ability to meet you where you are — and help you move forward, fast. My students tell me I explain things in a way that finally makes sense, and that I help them feel more confident in themselves, not just their English. Who I Teach Kids (ages 12+): English, reading, writing, homework help Teens: Essay writing, grammar, school projects, test prep (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT) University students: Academic writing, presentations, communication Adults & Professionals: Business English, conversation, email writing, interview prep Whether you're learning English for school, work, or life — I’ll help you speak and write with clarity and confidence.
