About Heather
I am an elementary / pre-k teacher who has worked in small groups or 1on 1. I also have been tutoring a Chinese student in her home for an hour so she can catch up with her classmates in phonics, reading, and writing. Many of my student's have learned how to read and write better due to my working with them in 1-1 settings. I also taught one on one conversational English to adults. I have a bachelor's in Elementary Ed and I am certified. I have a master's degree in TESOL and a TEFL certificate.

I approach each topic usually in fun themes that integrate the skills of language arts such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking in that theme. I like to play games, use flash cards, puppets, show and tell, story time, and have the students write in a journal using detailed illustrations about various topics. With adults, we can discuss articles of their choice while I make corrections or just have a conversation.
