About Luna
I’m Luna, a college essay tutor with a strong foundation in both rigorous academics and authentic storytelling. I attend a private boarding school, where I’ve developed discipline, independence, and a deep commitment to my work, and I will be attending the University of Southern California.
As someone who is Taiwanese and Japanese, I bring a global perspective to the writing process and understand how to shape personal identity into a compelling narrative. I’ve successfully gained admission to multiple Top 30 U.S. universities through essays that are vivid, personal, and intentional.
Students can expect professionalism, thoughtful guidance, and honest feedback. I take each student’s story seriously and work closely with them to ensure their essays are not only strong, but truly reflective of who they are.

We start with conversation, not writing. I learn how you think, what matters to you, and the moments that have shaped you. Through guided questions and quick exercises, we uncover potential essay ideas.
Session 2–3: Story Discovery & Drafting
We narrow down your strongest story and begin drafting. I help you write freely and honestly, focusing on raw voice over perfection.
Session 4–5: Structure & Depth
We shape your draft! Building a clear narrative, strengthening reflection, and making sure each moment connects to who you are.
Session 6–7: Voice & Style
We refine language line-by-line, adding vivid detail, specificity, and emotional depth so your essay feels distinctly yours.
Final Sessions: Polishing
We edit for clarity, flow, and impact, ensuring your essay is cohesive, authentic, and ready to stand out.
