About Philip
Assuming that you want to play with confidence, we begin with a diagnostic skills check to map out your current abilities. This ensures we do not waste time on concepts you already handle well. We will build a specific plan based on those results. My ARCT degree brings a high level of theory to our guitar sessions.
We focus on ear training and complex rhythm structures. I guide returning learners and hobbyists through lead guitar and advanced modes. You will see progress in your technical command quite quickly. Are you ready to see where your current skills actually stand?

Music theory became my second language during my time at Schulich. I started as a violinist, but the guitar captured my curiosity through its harmonic potential.
I have taught 143 students over the years. My methodology emphasizes lead and rhythm guitar proficiency.
You will find that I prioritize scales, modes, and reading tabs. I have a firm handle on strumming patterns and songwriting.
My technical foundation is rooted in my ARCT training. I expect rigor in every practice session. Efficiency is my primary standard.
