About Sunny

Hi! I’m a violin instructor based in the U.S., passionate about helping adult learners enjoy and grow through music. I specialize in teaching beginner to intermediate students, especially adults who are learning violin as a hobby or returning after a long break.

My teaching focuses on building a strong foundation from the very beginning—proper posture, bow hold, tone production, and reading music—while keeping lessons relaxed, encouraging, and enjoyable. I understand that adult learners often have busy schedules and unique goals, so I tailor each lesson to fit your pace and interests.

For my adult students, my goal is simple:
to help you confidently play music you love and experience the joy of completing a piece within a few months.

Whether you’re picking up the violin for the first time or coming back after years, I’d love to guide you on your musical journey!

About the lesson

My teaching is designed for dedicated adult learners seeking a refined, highly personalized approach to violin study. I take the time to understand each student’s background, goals, and learning style, creating a structured yet flexible path toward meaningful, lasting progress.

Lessons emphasize precision and depth—developing advanced technique, tonal control, musical phrasing, and expressive interpretation. Whether you are returning to the violin or pursuing it at a high level, I provide detailed, thoughtful guidance that builds both confidence and artistry.

Drawing from my experience in both private instruction and ensemble leadership, I help students not only improve technically, but also develop a deeper musical voice. Each lesson is intentional, focused, and tailored to support long-term growth at a high standard.

You’ll find details on lesson structure, availability, and how to get started. (concealed information)

Sunny is the best! I started taking lessons with her last month for violin and piano. I had no idea what I was doing at first, but with her guidance I have more understanding of the instruments, and I can actually play a few songs! She is very patient and skilled instructor. Thanks Sunny!
