Accolades and experience include:
• Recipient of a score of 4 on AP American Literature Test
• Graduate of the Academically excellent Granville High School in Granville OH, recognized as one of the best schools in the state
• Recipient of the Presidential Scholarship to Magdalen College of the Liberal Arts
• Recipient of a 4.0 GPA during my first collegiate semester.
•Served as a High School Mentor for 2 years, for which I received a perfect score every semester (in Mentoring, that is).

In order to teach, one must first have two great loves; first, a love for that which he teaches, and second, a love for those whom he teaches. Thus, I would say that my teaching desire is comprised of a walking with the student through the material for the cultivation and development of the student’s intellect and personality, and in a manner conducive to the lighting of the flame of love of literature and reading in the hearts and heads of all whom I teach. Further, In the words of Dr. Peter Sampo (may he Rest In Peace), there is nothing more important to the classroom and the pursuit of education than joy. Thus, I try always to teach with a lively joy and encourage the students to participate in that joy of learning, living, laughing and loving.
