About Mik

I completed my IGCSE qualifications before completing the Foundation in Arts program, and I'm now pursuing my bachelor's degree in Games Design. As a native English speaker with formal education through IGCSE and foundation level, I have both intuitive language understanding and structured academic training. My creative educational background has shaped how I approach teaching, allowing me to think innovatively about how students learn and engage with language.

I'm a native English speaker with a passion for helping folks build confidence and creativity through language. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Games Design, I bring a fresh, imaginative approach to English tutoring that makes learning interactive and enjoyable for students of all ages.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is student centered, flexible, and focused on real use of English. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, comfort level, and interests, then shape lessons around what will help them most at that stage. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, I adapt continuously as students progress. Lessons emphasize active participation through conversation, writing, discussion, and creative tasks, helping students build practical language skills they can confidently use in school and everyday life.

I place strong importance on confidence building and creating a relaxed, judgment free learning environment. Mistakes are treated as a natural and valuable part of learning, not something to fear.

Drawing from my experience in performing arts, I often use role play, storytelling, and expressive activities to help students engage with English in a natural way. This approach is especially effective for shy or hesitant learners, as it encourages communication, creativity, and steady improvement at a comfortable pace.
