About Mark

My artistic practice is built upon drawing, painting and monoprint printmaking. I completed my undergraduate at Edinburgh College of Art, and recently completed the postgraduate drawing year at The Royal Drawing School. I currently work as the Technician for the Art Department at Thomas Knyvett College, The Howard Partnership in Ashford, Surrey.

Drawing from observation, still life, the figure and anatomy were comprehensively covered during the course of my postgraduate course. I have several years experience in working with water based mediums and oil paint. Transfer drawing and linocut printmaking are integral methods of making to my practice.

My knowledge of contemporary art and art history, particularly within the field of painting is strong. I can tutor from primary school, to secondary level, GCSE, AS, A Level, through to making University applications in Fine Art.
