About Elena

Degree in Translation and Interpreting, I teach English for any level. I have lived in several English speaking countries, including the United Kingdom and Ireland and I have experience working in several academies with children and adolescents as well as adults. In addition, in 2016, I passed the exams for Secondary and Baccalaureate teachers and I have been working in public institutes in Madrid for three years. Depending on your objective (preparing an official exam, passing the English you have been dragging or learning to go to work outside), I adapt the classes and materials.

About the lesson

My philosophy is to motivate the student and guide him in his learning. The approach I follow for my classes is the communicative approach, in which the language is considered as a communication tool. The importance is not in learning a series of grammar rules, but in being able to use those rules to communicate. Thus, I try to teach the student so that he is able to function in different real communicative contexts. To achieve this, the prior knowledge, needs and interests of each student are always taken into account.

El año pasado, Elena me dio clases de inglés porque nunca se me había dado bien y lo arrastraba en el instituto. Gracias a ella, pude aprobar la asignatura de inglés de 2º de Bachillerato y la de 1º de Bachillerato, que la tenía pendiente. Además, mejoró mi confianza en mí mismo y empezó a gustarme el inglés. Actualmente, sigo dando clases con ella para mejorar mi nivel de inglés hablado.
