I can teach in a way that is best for you.
Singing: I will teach you the fundamentals of singing from projection to pronunciation. We will begin each lesson with vocal warmups that can be beneficial to your dictation and range. You will be able to choose some songs to learn, and I will guide you along to apply what you learn to what you sing.
Piano: I will teach you the fundamentals of piano as we go though a course book series. We will do scales and chords. Eventually, I can help you arrange your own music.
Guitar/ Ukulele: I will teach you strum patterns and chords that can go with virtually any song!
All lessons: I will also teach you how to read music and understand music theory. You can combine one of my lessons with another one of my lessons in the one hour time frame at no additional cost.
I am Maggie. I am a high school student with a passion for music. I am in a youth choir and the youngest member in an adult choir. I have been singing in front of people since I was four. I sang in the Houston Children’s Chorus and the National Honor Choir with Youth Cue. I have sang at a couple minor league baseball games, Stude Concert Hall, Jones Hall, and Clay Cooper’s Country Music Express in Branson, Missouri. Overall, I have performed in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and even Germany. I also sing and play piano, guitar, and percussion between two praise teams. I also won the Theory Award through the Allegro Academy of Music. I have played piano for over five years and guitar for three years. I participated in the Bay Area Music Teachers Association Baroque Festival and Contemporary Festival for piano. I completed the Texas Music Teachers Association levels ten and eleven theory tests. I want to share my love of music with you.
