About Hil
Originally from Istanbul, I grew up in Hong Kong as a child. I then lived all over the world (including London, Honolulu, New York City and Chicago) before moving to Southern California. I grew up with children from all over the world and I love diversity. I'm passionate about helping ESL kids achieve a better grasp of English and help them feel at ease with any anxiety or pressure they might be feeling. I have been there myself so my goal is to help them as best as possible!

Given I grew up in a bilingual household, I understand how it can be challenging at times to switch back and forth between languages. I approach my students in the same compassionate way I was approached by my ELS teachers; with patience, understanding and support. I'd like to create a safe environment where the students feel at ease during the lesson and feel comfortable to ask questions. I have a college degree in Media Studies and I've been working as an International Executive for 16 years.
